OpenAI’s next frontier model just leaked. Codename Spud, likely shipping as GPT 5.5 Pro, and it could drop as early as next week. The early generations people are posting look better than Anthropic’s brand new Claude Opus 4.7 that just released this week. No official benchmarks yet, just leaked outputs, but the quality is a clear step up from GPT 5.4.
