Hi, this is Matt, and I wanted to do a quick video on an awesome WordPress plugin I found here called Admin and Site Enhancements. A little bit of a mouthful, but you can find it quickly by searching for ASE in the plugins section.
When you search for it in Add Plugins, this is the one you’re looking for. It’s called Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE). You can click More Details to check out the screenshots and reviews, but I’ll walk you through everything in this video. The plugin has over 100,000 active installs and excellent reviews, so it’s well trusted.
Let me show you some of the things you can do with this plugin. One of the first things you’ll notice is that my WordPress dashboard looks very clean. That’s because I used ASE to remove clutter, clean up the sidebar, and simplify the admin interface.
If we go to the Admin Interface section, we get a ton of useful options. First, we can clean up the admin bar. This top toolbar is usually full of unnecessary items. I’ve removed the WordPress logo, the “Howdy” message, and a bunch of other distractions. If I disable these settings and save changes, you’ll see the default WordPress toolbar appear again. But since I prefer a cleaner look, I’ll turn them back off.
Another great feature is removing unwanted notices in the admin dashboard. If I open my dashboard now, you’ll see that it’s really clean. ASE lets you disable admin notices, plugin ads, and other distractions, which is great for keeping your backend uncluttered.
Now let’s talk about the sidebar menu. If you have a lot of plugins, your sidebar can get messy. With ASE, you can hide menu items, reorder them, and customize the sidebar layout to make it easier to navigate.
One of my favorite features is content duplication. In the past, you needed a separate plugin just to duplicate posts or pages, but ASE includes this feature. Now you can duplicate any page, post, or custom post type with one click.
