While it’s tempting to include every detail about your offering in your pitch, studies show that after 20 minutes, the brain starts to forget what it’s been taught
That’s why it’s better to plan your pitch for 5 minutes!
But how can you make an impactful pitch in just 5 minutes?
Here are some tips:
Start with a strong hook: Your opening line should grab the listener’s attention and make them want to learn more.
Focus on the most important details: Identify the key points you want to convey and focus on those. Keep in mind that less is often more.
Use storytelling: We remember stories much more easily than facts and figures. Use stories to illustrate the benefits of your offering.
Include a clear call to action: End your pitch with a clear and concise call to action. What is the next step you want the listener to take?
Remember, the goal of a pitch is not to cover everything, but to generate interest and leave a lasting impression
