The unveiling of Russia’s first humanoid robot was embarrassingly cut short after it tripped and fell just moments after stepping onto a stage in Moscow.
The event, organised by New Technology Coalition, was meant to showcase the robot named ‘Aldol’ walking out to the ‘Rocky’ theme song.
Upon being introduced on stage, Aldol attempted a friendly wave and fell face-first just seconds later.
“This made Russia look like it’s very far behind, not only in the robot race but in the generative AI one, as well,” Tech Radar’s Lance Ulanoff told FOX Business.
“The US boasts robots like Tesla Optimus, Figure 03, and Atlas from Boston Dynamics, and these are machines that walk, dance, flip, and handle chores.”
