Prompt engineers are responsible for designing and implementing the prompts that are used to train large language models. These prompts are essential for ensuring that large language models are able to generate accurate and creative text.

In short, Prompt Engineering is becoming lucrative with crazy growth of Generative Al. According to a recent survey by Indeed, with more than 2,000 jobs for prompt engineers, the average salary for a prompt engineer is $150,000, whereas for a full-stack Python developer is around $110,000.
Once, such salaries were commanded only by software developers. So, yes, Al is already disrupting the future of work. Many jobs will be automated but hopefully completely new careers like prompt engineering will also prop up.
