So if u coming from pharma industry ….SAS is primely developed for pharma ,primely developed for pharma banking industry can sustain without SAS, healthcare industry can sustain without SAS but if u go for clinical -one part of your clinical will be pharma ,i cannot say exactly both clinical or pharma same …but one part of your clinical is nothing but your pharma in the clinical or pharma industry for all clinical trials that is drug identification, drug development, drug research, or identifying or going with the basic patient analysis or going ahead with the test analysis for everything u r going to use SAS only.
for an example i want to go-ahead and i want to develop a drug, so starting with understanding the behavior of the drugs ..2nd applying this particular drug on a group of community based on the results to take a decision …and to see whether these decisions are in compliance with my clinical industry or not all these things will be done based on the SAS ..if u r coming from B.Sc. or Ms. c pharma, or if u coming from B.Sc. statistics or MS.C statistics ..there is only one entry to come into software industry which is nothing but your SAS.
Because SAS is primely meant for the clinical SAS guys. After having anonymous features coming out from the SAS the other industries started adapting it ..but till today if u go to any job portal and if u look for the SAS opportunities right from the freshers to any experience of level your choice.50% of the jobs or i can strongly say that around 70% of the jobs primely for the clinical trials guys or pharma guys..70% of the occupation of the SAs jobs are still for clinical…but if u go to the other industries yes still we r using SAS, we are very dominant in that still the occupation of the SAS jobs primely for the clinical or pharma guys ..
so here u r going to use for clinical trials so there is going to be a separate module, that is going to be last module for us there we r going to discuss about what is called your clinical trials what is called your SDTM certification and what is called your ADaM certification and how to use that, how to acquire your clinical knowledge and all we going to discuss there…and one more thing if u coming from pharma background and if u working as clinical SAs guy ,u have all ur chances to enter as a developer in other industries as well…u r a qualified SAS developer for to work on any of the domine .
but if u r coming from banking industry, if u r coming from healthcare industry and if you don’t have anything related to clinical as part of your curriculum, u r not supposed to work under the clinical SAS. u won’t get gate open for clinical SAS if u coming from the other industries guys. Only when there is a huge requirement, only when u r not able to identify the SAS developer with proper clinical knowledge, only in that case they will hire you and they will train u there, but 90% of the cases, clinical SAS guys can enter into the other industries…but other industries guys cannot enter in to clinical until and unless there is really urgent requirement.
