This is a presentation I gave at the Latin American Systems Dynamics Conference on September 29, 2023. It describes a model that considers the impact of generative AI on social discourse, community knowledge, and community beliefs and how these impacts affect the sustainability of the technology. I developed a hoped-for scenario and a feared scenario that are differentiated by the rate of improvement in the technology.
