In this video you will learn how to use Switch( ) function in microsoft excel. When you have multiple condition we often use nested IF conditions. Using netsed #IF() is confusing and difficult to understand / read. Microsoft introduced new #switch() formula that is best used when you have nested IF conditions.

SWITCH function :
The SWITCH function evaluates one value (called the expression) against a list of values, and returns the result corresponding to the first matching value. If there is no match, an optional default value may be returned.
Simple syntax:
=SWITCH(Value to switch, Value to match1…[2-126], Value to return if there’s a match1…[2-126], Value to return if there’s no match)
Note: Please note that the SWITCH function allows you to test up to 127 different conditions.
