#Google is introducing generative #AI to its #Workspace suite, starting with Google Docs and #Gmail. With this update, users will be able to enter prompts for brainstorming, proofreading, writing, and rewriting, and Google will generate a first draft. For example, when creating a job description for a regional sales representative, users can input the prompt “Help me write” and hit the blue Create button to generate a draft instantly. The generative AI features will include Elaborate, Shorten, Bulletize, I’m Feeling Lucky, and Write a draft. However, Google notes that AI is not a replacement for human creativity and intelligence, and users will still need to review and edit the generated drafts. These features are currently only available to a small set of “trusted testers,” but they could potentially help save time on day-to-day tasks.
