MIT has awarded seed grants to 27 teams of scholars to conduct research on the social implications of generative AI. The proposals cover a wide range of topics, including education, companionship, music, and more. Each selected team will receive funding to create 10-page impact papers by December 15, and these papers will be made available to the public through MIT Press and MIT Libraries.
