Attitude is greatly shaped by influence and association. Never mistake the power of influence. Two words describe influence. Number one, powerful. Number two, subtle. Influences sometimes can be very subtle. We wouldn’t let somebody probably drive us off course, but we might let somebody nudge us off course.
According to Jim Rohn, there are three important questions on association:
Who am I around?
What are they doing to me?
Is that okay?
The power of influence is one of the most important elements to your wealth and happiness. A positive influence can significantly change your life and assist you in reaching all of your goals. Negative influence operates in a similar manner. According to Jim Rohn, a bad influence can ruin your life and leave you financially unfortunate.
Pay close attention to the people you choose to associate with. Limit your interaction with them if they have a detrimental impact on your life. If necessary, distance yourself from them. On the other hand, if there are certain individuals who have already achieved all the goals that you aspire to realize, get around them and consciously form associations.
As Jim Rohn says, “Do not spend your major time with minor influences.”
