We’re joined by Craig Hinton (FA Youth Coach Developer), Stuart Delaney (FA Youth Coach Developer), Michael Matthews (FA Youth Coach Developer) and Matthew Portas (Physical Performance Education Lead) as they give an insight into how modern tactics and strategies have implications on the physical demands for players. They consider:

• What are the technical requirements of players to perform tactically within the game (what is technically desirable must be technically and physically achievable).
• Using team case studies of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool, to demonstrate how the tactics and strategies they adopt impact on the specific player characteristics.
• Considerations for the modern trends within the game from a physical perspective and how we can prepare our future players to be able to compete in the game?
• The implications of this on the practice continuum and how coaches can design effective practices to prepare their players effectively.

Watching a video on the FA Learning YouTube channel is great for informal CPD, however, it will not count towards your accredited CPD hours. In order to gain formal CPD from our webinar programme, you will need to register and engage as an active participant.
