Within the 1600s, the Dutch East India Firm employed tons of of ships to commerce items across the globe. As a way to fund their voyages, the corporate turned to personal residents to take a position cash to help journeys in alternate for a share of the earnings. In doing so, they unknowingly invented the world’s first inventory market. So how do corporations and buyers use the market as we speak? Oliver Elfenbaum explains.
