OpenAI has just released Agent Builder (AgentKit), a potential competitor to n8n. This is a drag-and-drop visual canvas tool for building complex AI Agent workflows. We can map out and plan the conversational flow with an entire suite of nodes. Even if you’re not technical at all, this is a platform that you should be able to pick up very easily, and I’m going to go through everything step-by-step.
I first review some of the pre-made templates from OpenAI to give you a quick idea of what can be built with this new platform. I’ll then dive into reviewing each node on the canvas so you get a complete understanding of how to start building your own agents. I’ll then dive into building my own agents right on the canvas, so you get a complete look at how to build these agents from scratch.
