Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from structured and unstructured data. It involves a combination of statistical analysis, domain knowledge, and data visualization skills to collect, process, and analyze large amounts of data to solve real-world problems.
Machine Learning, on the other hand, is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence that provides systems the ability to automatically improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. It uses algorithms and statistical models to analyze and understand data and make predictions or decisions without being specifically programmed to perform the task.
In other words, Machine Learning is a tool used by Data Scientists to extract insights from data, and Data Science includes Machine Learning as one of its many tools.
